The cross-country season is underway and by now you know there are some Aitkin Gobblers running with the McGregor boys and girls teams. Why did they decide to join the sport this season. Let’s find out from some of the Gobblers/Mercuries.
Noah Moss-“I joined cross-country because I thought we had a legitimate shot to be a competitive team. I also thought that the team would be a good opportunity for students wanting to stay in shape that were not in other fall sports. On top of that this will help me be in shape for basketball season and hopefully will positively impact my track times for the spring.”
Isaac Asmus-“I think it is a smart way to condition myself.”
Wyatt Winter-“I joined because it will be good for conditioning and participating with my friends.”
Ashley Asmus-“I went out for cross-country to better myself for track and it’s a great opportunity to do an activity with my brother.”
Lenny Hughes-I chose to run cross-country because I enjoy running and I like the competition aspect of the sport. It will also help me become more competitive in track next spring.”
Andrew Hudrlik-"To get in the best shape possible."
Noah Hughes-"I joined to get in the best shape for basketball."
